Fr. Jack McArdle SS.CC, went to be with his Lord on January 22, 2009

Father Jack was a preacher, published author and teacher. He was one of 13 children and lived in Dublin where he was part of the congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, in Ranelagh.

Although he lived in Ireland he travelled to England to do retreats and stay with friends.

FR Jack had a wonderful influence on thousands of people. His humour, his depth of spirituality and real care for everyone made a deep impression on myself (Paul Soffe) and many others. He was very challenging at times and just one quote of many that I recall just now…

“ You can teach a parrot to say prayers, but you can’t teach a parrot to pray!”
