Personal tribute to Archbishop Gabriel

I (Paul Soffe) had the great joy of meeting Archbishop Gabriel Ganaka in Medjugorje where I was asked to record various speakers. I had just arrived and was shown to the dining room where a large number of people were waiting to be served. The only seat free was next to Archbishop Gabriel and tbh I thought oh no what am I supposed to say or how do I address him etc etc..  As soon as I sat down all my fears disappeared with a slap on the back, accompanied by a big smile and welcome. Boy did we laugh with joy and give thanks to the lord as we shared stories. Everyone must have heard us !! After a short time, Archbishop Gabriel asked me if I had ever heard of Merlin Carothers to which I answered ‘ I recorded him last week back in the Uk!’ Again, another shared joyful laughter. He mentioned to me he loved his teaching on the importance of praise and was planning to give a talk on the power of praise while in Medjugorje which he did.  And during his talk (see ‘Praise -A hot line to God’  the recorded talk ) he mentioned one of Merlin’s stories I had shared with him and many of his own experiences of the power of Praise!
